## Now

Henrique Godoy is building AI at CloudWalk — a $1.2B ARR fintech — across JIM (US) and InfinitePay (Brazil), serving millions of daily interactions across 7M+ merchants. ## Background

Henrique Godoy started programming at 12, building Minecraft mods with Forge, and took freelance work around it until 2022 — small and medium projects in a lot of languages, from PHP to Java. He was admitted to the mathematics program at the University of São Paulo (USP) at 15, and ranked top 200 in the OBMU (Brazilian Mathematical Olympiad for University Students), the Brazilian counterpart of the U.S. Putnam Competition.

At 17 he received a R$500k scholarship at Inteli, where he is valedictorian of the class. The Inteli program runs on ten-week project-based learning cycles delivered with partner companies, including Uber, Pirelli, and the Faculdade de Medicina da USP. He also studied discrete optimization at the University of Melbourne in 2023.

From February to August 2022 he was a research engineer at Higher Order Company, working on the first version of Kind, a modern proof language, and on Kindelia, a peer-to-peer functional computer — compiler development and functional language design in Rust, including an implementation of Yves Lafont's interaction combinators.

In 2023, as an ML research intern at BTG Pactual, the largest investment bank in Latin America, he fine-tuned an LLM that automated the analysis of fund communications for the investment funds division and scaled it across several divisions. This was the first production deployment of a large language model inside the bank — a regulated, high-stakes environment — and is the origin of his focus on evaluation and reliability.

He co-founded Doki in 2024, a personal-finance product for doctors in Brazil, leading the full development cycle — iOS/Android app, landing pages, dashboards, and a cloud-deployed backend — to over R$12 million recorded on the platform.
